Insomnia. Somehow it was so much sexier when Jill Scott sang it.
When you travel to the opposite side of the world (literally), day becomes night, night becomes day, up is down, right is left…well, you get the point. Basically, my body is a mess and I can’t sleep.
No really. This is night 3 without sleep.
On the upside, I heard some incredibly entertaining (disturbing?) conversations circa 4am in the alley by my bedroom, and I’ve caught up on a substantial amount of Modern Family and How I Met Your Mother episodes.
But enough is enough. I’m terrified of taking sleeping pills, but surely there’s some natural cure for this? Suggestions?

Have you tried switching your meals to Singapore time instead of eating when you’re hungry? That’s my trick to getting over jetlag. Reset my meal times.
Chamomile tea with milk knocks me out, too.
Hey next time you’re up late let’s go to Mustafa’s! I have insomnia too and no one to go late night shopping with.

Totally agree with Flora, adjusting meal times seems to help! Other than that, I just let the body ride it out. Damn circadian rhythms, they are so much more helpful when not disrupted.

Try melatonin, if you can find it there.

Try watching ANY television show on a couch while having a conversation with anyone…that usually puts you right to sleep.

Definitely agree with @Flora that switching meals is the best way to cure jetlag. But a little melatonin won’t hurt. And there’s always acupuncture?!
Sleep tight.

Melatonin is a hormone that regulates sleep. If you were here, I would send you to whole foods to get it in supplement form. Not sure if they have such thing where you are. It’s highly reccommended for jet lag.
